Looks easy, but...

I joined a diet forum and was checking the exercise section for tips in my workout, when I happened across a thread devoted entirely to Callanetics. Not really knowing what it was, I looked at the before and after pictures, watched a few YouTube videos and thought to myself, "If I can look like *that* just by doing that simple stuff, sign me up!"
Then I got it home and actually did the workout. The reps vary from 5-10 to a whopping 100! What seemed easy at first gets ever more difficult the longer you do it, but anyone without a physical disability can do it--it's that easy. I absolutely love it. I still lift weights and power walk occasionally, but I do Callanetics five times a week now. I have to force myself to take the weekends off.
The results? In three weeks I've shaved 2 inches on my bra strap area, 1.75 inches from each thigh, and an inch off my waist. I've gone from size 10 to size 8. I've only lost 3 pounds during this time, so I attribute a great deal of my success to Callanetics. Try it; you won't be sorry.

I have the book so I wanted the CD.
It helps to tighten your body, with very small movement, but it really works, but if you are heavy, it does not burn fat, it just tones.

Gentle, effective workout

Before I had two children I worked out at the gym five days a week and did Pilates three days a week. I was very fit. However, I don't have that sort of time to devote to my figure anymore. Plus, my second daughter was large and after three months of physical therapy, my back still gives me problems. Other than ballet, this is the only workout I have found that does not put strain on my back. Even my beloved Pilates causes pain.
The workout is easy to follow and, as evidenced by the jelly legs after each hour, is effective. It doesn't require strange contortions like T-Tapp. It doesn't require jerking, ridiculous footwork like some cardio workout videos and it doesn't produce the bulkiness that comes from lifting heavy weights.
After only three hours I was approached by two different people that asked me what I had been doing. I'm not large, so my results weren't as evident as some, but my rear- which has always been a problem spot for me- is finally cute. I've done fourteen hours and I haven't seen much difference in my waist or hips, but I am happy with the results I have seen. I'm going to buy the advanced Callanetics DVD and see if that will offer better results with my "mommy" midsection.
A bonus is that I have seen huge improvements in my flexibility which has improved my performance in my ballet classes
